We saw the show last night (7/20). The US Bryan Fenkart subbed for Huey. He was so unbelievable, as was the rest of the cast. From the 1st song - you are kick started into high gear! Wonderful story and beautifully told. Great for kids too.

You guys were amazing at the award show, too. Phenomenal (is that spelled right?) job! Absolutely supurb! Can't wait to come see the show again. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Razzle | 06/16/2010 | NJ
Congrats to All on getting the Tony award for Best Musical. Memphis has been my favorite musical , since I saw it several times. Montego and Chad were definitely robbed for not getting the Best actress and actor in a musical. But it was great to see the musical win the Big one. I've seen the show several times and plan to see it a few more times. the show is so great, alot of energy and fun throughout this musical classic.

This show was EXCELLENT...right from the opening song & dance routine (absolutely superb) thru to the last. This is one high-energy show, and the dancing, more like acrobatics, was simply amazing!!
Where do these people get their energy?
Best one I've seen in many years.
The whole audience gave them a much deserved standing ovation.

I live an hour from MEMPHIS, my children live in Memphis, I honeymooned there!!!..from the 2 river bridges on the show curtain to the 2 main characters in the story, MEMPHIS brings such a real feel of the heart of Memphis..and its music...MUSIC, indeed the BRIDGE between the two colors of people..but the heart of one
SOULful....got a chill at the sound of the streets
"paved in SOUL!!!"...BRAVO !! BRAVO !!

Now I know what show to send my Left Coast friends to when they visit New York. Memphis has a strong story line and even better music. The cast blows your socks off with its talent and energy. This show is a must-see!
Nadine Rosen | 06/05/2010 | Los Angeles
This was a school trip from my Daughter, Legacee's Music Department. It was an honor to meet some of the cast & crew. As this was our first Broadway Production ever seen, I would have to say it was AMAZING!!!!! Definitely not an experience you can view on TV. There were so many talented Actors, Vocalists and the music was just unbelievable. This production was definably alive and made you feel every moment. I will be honored to see another show put out like it!!!!
Shirley A. Mossbrooks | 06/02/2010 | New Jersey
My wife and I was Blessed to be able to see the 8:00 pm showing of Memphis this saturday night. The show was so powerful and moving that no other word could be described as being graced with such as show, as Blessed. Chad and Montego blew the house down along with a cast of incredible singers and dancers while bringing tears to my eyes and smiles deep from my heart. The singing is soulful, that is it fills your soul with a new spirit. Yes, it is that powerful. I have already planned on booking the babysitter to see the show again. I cannot only recommend and suggest the show to others but will personally deliver my friends and family to the theatre to see it for themselves.
WILLIAM MORAN | 05/31/2010 | NEW JERSEY
I was in New York in Jan and saw the show. It is the best show that I have seen. The cast amazing, the music phenomenal and the set all came together perfectly, the best I even seen and heard. The first musical I have seen without one boring moment. Anyone who loves musicals as much I do have to see Memphis, it will go on as one of the best of all time. Go Memphis. I will tell everybody I know to go and see it. Memphis Lives in Me!

This show was AMAZING! I have seen several on Broadway recently and this one I could
see twice or more. Chad Kimball has talent that
makes the show so exciting...I can't imagine that he won't win the Tony for his portrayal of
Huey. I recommend this show to ALL who
are in NYC and can't decide what to see.
Don't miss this one!
Debbie | 05/12/2010 | Dayton, Ohio
This is a dynamite performance - each step, each note - is infused with such enthusiasm and superb talent by this young, energized cast, that you can't help jumping from your seat at the conclusion and wish that you had multiple hands to clap. Unlike so many shows currently on Broadway, with their big name West Coast stars, who venture forth for only a few months on the Great White Way, in precisely tailored roles, this is a production that deserves a very long run, so it can entertain the public for some time to come. Each cast member - both stars and the hoofers and singers alike - deliver a genuine performance. That's why Memphis is an on-target evening full of fun and talent. Don't miss it!
Leslie Nicholson | 05/07/2010 | Port Tobacco MD

Last week my wife and I were in NYC and took in Memphis. Had not been to a Broadway show in years, and if Memphis is anything like what else is playing on Broadway these days, we'll soon be attending musicals more frequently. What a delightful time we had being entertained by this terrific show. The music was dynamite, the story compelling and the leads and cast absolutely wonderful. Bravos all way around.
Ed Nicholson | 05/03/2010 | Port Tobacco, MD
We saw Memphis last week and loved it. The music and dance were amazing. The actors were terrific; they never lost a beat. Telling the story about the birth of Rock and Roll as it emerged from Blues, Gospel, and Country music within the social context of that era was moving and relevant. It is a chapter of America's history that resinates to this day and all should see.
Tamar and Richard Franklin | 05/02/2010 | New York City
Just saw MEMPHIS on Saturday night and I was completely blown away! Did not know what to expect, but as soon as the curtain went up, WOW!!!! I've seen many shows on Broadway and must say that this one just might be my absolute favorite of all time. You'll sing, stomp your feet, cry, and laugh. "Huey" is phenomenal -- beyond "Holy Cow Talent!" If you're thinking about what to see on Broadway next...THIS IS IT! Truly a spectacular show!
Lise | 04/27/2010 | Long Island

I went to see it with a school group. All of us were a bit skeptical when we first heard we were seeing it, having never heard of it. But once the show started we all realized what an excellent show it was. It takes a great musical to make 60 teenagers all happy. Great show!

Megan | 04/04/2010 | March 31st
I thought this show was amazing, although I usually don't like musicals. This might have something to do with the fact that most other musicals I have seen were performed by my schoolmates, but, anyways... I would love to come back to NY and see it again, but that's not an option, so - I would LOVE to see a DVD come out. It's not the same as a live show, but the actors are just too good to not have this documentated.
Kyra R. | 04/04/2010 | In NYC
I have seen broadway shows my whole life, and this was one of my favorites. It was truly amazing, I loved every minute. The tech work was incredible. This show is a true champ in my book
Jess | 04/01/2010 | New York
I have seen many Broadway musicals over the years and this was one of the most entertaining shows I have seen. It had great music, dancing, likable characters performed by outstanding actors and a clever, innovative set. The story was a sad reminder of how bad it was for African Americans in the South 50 years ago, and I got so moved at the end of the first act that when the lights came up and I turned around, I shook hands with an African American gentleman seated behind me (I am white). I told him I couldn't believe Americans (white bigots) could behave this badly towards their fellow Americans as recent as only 50 years ago and that a lot of progress has been made, but we still have a ways to go. He and I bonded over that conversation and it was nice to see the message of the show was working - in other words - go out in the world and treat everyone the same - with respect and dignity, and live in peace and harmony with your fellow man regardless of race, creed, or color. That's what this country is all about. So... the show was great and I would recommend it to everyone.
Michael L. | 03/31/2010 | On Broadway in NYC
I first saw the show in previews last year and recently made a return visit to see it again. I bought the CD because the music has been joyfully swimming around my head. Great performances by a perfect cast and a well spent evening at one of my favorite musicals. Go Huey!

I have never been more impressed with a show than when I saw Memphis! I attended the show with my mom, brother and future sister-in-law (it was her first Broadway show ever!) and was blown away by the music and basically everything else! Everyone loved it and couldn't stop talking about it. The music made me want to cry it was so good! Chad and Montego are phenoms as well as the entire cast. I can't wait to see the show again...btw...you guys should go on tour!!!! :)
Emilee | 03/30/2010 | NYC
I've been trying to get to a Broadway show for about four years and I suddenly had an opportunity to go to Memphis. It was fantastic and amazing and wonderful!!! I loved it and am just dying for the soundtrack to come out. I plan to buy it as soon as I wake up on the 30th! Everything was incredible - the entire cast is so so good and the set and the music... I sat speechlessly through the whole thing with an idiotic grin on my face. I LOVE MEMPHIS!!!
Ilenya | 03/26/2010 | New York
My wife and i saw the show and it was everything we though it would be. Great actors & actress, great and true story line, joy, laughter & sadness which touch our souls. If we had to rate this play on a scale of 1-10, it would definitely get at 10. It was fantastic & deserve to be one of the great Bway play of all times. We are going to purchase tickets to see it again. It like said when one goes to see Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, IT THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH !! This is the best musical I have seen since the original West Side Story and, in fact, it may have even topped that! The music and dancing was spectacular and there wasn't a clunker among them. I'll be back with friends this summer.
Leah | 01/27/2010 | NYC
My family absolutely loved this show! We did not know about it before visiting NY a couple of weeks ago, but the reviews and promo sounded amazing, and Memphis did not disappoint. We all cried through the whole thing and laughed and loved it. It's a show with amazing singing and dancing, which you expect from Broadway, but with so much more - real heart, real grit, and man, do you feel the racism of the times as surely as if you were living it. We are telling everyone we know to go if they are going to New York. The cast is stellar - bravo and brava from Halifax, Nova Scotia!
Peggy Walt | 01/26/2010 | NY
I was totally blown away by this show...The cast is brilliant. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and I wanted to sing and dance throughout its entirety. The set design was out of this world and ALL of the actors could truly sing. The choreography was great and it was so true to that time in our nation's history. One word, PHENOMENAL!

My friend and went to NYC on Dec. 30 specifically to see MEMPHIS. We loved the show from the opening number to the extended orchestra music at the end. It was an energetic show and the cast seemed to be loving every minute of it.

Jan 3, 2010. My two daughters (19 / 17), wife and I saw four shows this weekend; Billy Elliot, In the Heights, Rock of Ages and MEMPHIS. This is by far our favorite! Great cast, music, costumes and story. Best new musical since Wicked!
Howell Gaines | 01/06/2010 | Broadway NYC
We took our children & mother this past weekend (Jan. 3) to see Memphis, having seen almost ALL of the Musicals presently on Broadway. Memphis was the third show we saw over the weekend, it was a show we were not familiar with so we were not ecpecting much....WERE WE EVER TAKEN BY SURPRISE...MEMPHIS was absolutely a show wer will NEVER forget. Chad Kimball & Montego Glover were outstanding & will, I believe, win Tonies for their performances in this show. It was powertful, the music was beautiful, the story was beauttifully told. From just a few moments into the show we were all sitting & hoping the show would go on forever. We loved Memphis, we will tell all our friend thgat it is a MUST SEE and we will definitely see it again...thank you to all those involved in this truly remarkable musical...it was an unforgettable experience .
Betsy Robinson | 01/06/2010 | New York City
This was the greatest show of all time. The acting, singing, dancing, costumes, and scenery were wonderful.

My husband who does not like musicals loved it. You could really get into the story .

Everyone should see this.
Sue | 01/06/2010 | New York
Best new musical on Broadway! I just saw 7 shows in 5 days in NY and this was the best musical we saw! Outstanding cast! I believe this show will be nominated & win the 2010 Tony award! You must see this show, seriously!
Mary Briskey | 01/06/2010 | New York
The best show I have seen in years!!..and I see a lot of shows. I have not cried at a show for 20+ years-this made me cry. The cast is fantastic. Go & see it. Also, great for teenagers-both my 19 yr old daughter and my non-theatre interested 16 yr old son LOVED it!!
BJL | 01/06/2010 | NYC
Memphis artfully combined wonderful music, singing and dancing with very important historical and sociological themes in a way that did not destroy the importance and integrity of both. Delightfully entertaining but also thought-provoking.
barb | 01/06/2010 | nyc
I loved it as well. Actually it was even better than I thought it would be! The main character was fantastic, and the rest of the cast were no slouches either! Also, I thought the scenery was very well done. I would definitely reccomend this show, very uplifting, you can leave the theater with a "YEAH!"
Christine Duffy | 01/06/2010 | New York
After seeing the show two weeks ago, I took my entire extended family of 13, who enjoyed it just as much as I did. It's the talent that makes the show - the singing, dancing, group as well as solo appearances are brilliant, and the story is cleverly and effectively presented. Our kids - 12 through 19 - absolutely loved it and thesoundtrack is playing on their MP3s. Its a mix of drama, history, rock and soul, and pure entertainment, and I recommend it highly to audiences of all ages.
Nick | 01/05/2010 | New York
This is the best new musical I have ever seen! The cast is incredibly talented, and brought the entertaining and capitvating story to life. From the moment the show started-- I was hooked. The show literally had me laughing, crying, and dancing in my seat!!

I highly recommend this show! It's definitely a MUST SEE!
Frances Stephanie | 12/31/2009 | New York

Janet | 12/31/2009 | New York
I have been telling everyone they have to see Memphis. The music was fantastic! My husband & I saw the play for our anniversary & we are so happy we did.
Marsha | 12/30/2009 | NY
Terrific show! Enjoyed it from beginning to end. One of the best musicals I have ever seen. A totally enjoyable afternoon.
Betty | 12/30/2009 | New York
Having seen virtually every musical in New York over the past twenty years, I would rate "Memphis" in the top ten. (Maybe even top five!) The talent was abundant and the energy level super high. We loved sitting close up where you don't get the panoramic effect, but as a trade off you see these fine actors sweat, and actually feel their vibe. This show is a must see if you love great theater. Bravo and hats off to the cast! I'd see it again tonight! Enjoy......and no, I'm not related to any of the cast members.
Barbara Rick | 12/30/2009 | new york
An original show, finally. Memphis is what Broadway musicals are all about. Montego Glover should definitely win the Tony. You leave the theater feeling what every theater goer should feel after seeing a show on Broadway. Bravo!
Jim | 12/30/2009 | Schubert Theater NYC
Absolutely loved it. I'm definitely seeing it again next time I'm back in the city!
Jay Hartington | 12/28/2009 | NYC
My wife and I were in NYC 12.26 and found Memphis at the Shubert Theater. Based on the story line and reviews posted at the theater we took a chance - AND OH ARE WE GLAD WE DID!! This is a wonderful play with a solid story line, great continuity and terrific music throughout. The entire audience was up keeping time and dancing in place. The show really delivers the essence of rock and roll in Memphis with great R&B, Blues, Gospel and Rock numbers, but not the hackneyed stuff you might hear in some rock revival show. All great original music with a wonderful orchestra, actors, and chorus. I give this show my highest recommendation.
Ed & Lyn from Saratoga
Edward Connolly | 12/28/2009 | Shubert
Memphis was quite possibly the best musical I have ever seen. The entire cast delivers non-stop energy through both acts. It has everything that a great musical should from amazing dancing to incredible vocals. A definite must see for anyone who is looking for a feel good musical that will leave you tapping your feet.

What a great new musical!!! I've seen it twice now and love it. Great, amazingly talented cast. Terrific script - a moving story filled with wit and truth. Great choreography, direction, costumes, set, lighting plus a cast that can light up the stage and tear your heart out. The audience was immediately on its feet at the end of the show and both nights, the buzz around me was all about Tony Awards. Hockadoo!
Mary Britt | 12/23/2009 | Broadway
WOW! The music theater is alive and better than ever! MEMPHIS is up there with the best musicals of all time. The cast, the dancers, the leads have made this show OUTSTANDING.
The Tony's are coming your way--better plan what to wear.
My husband and I see Broadway shows frequently and this just knocks your socks off!!
Congratulations to all of you for making this show a 20 on a scale of 10 !!!
Helen Showalter | 12/23/2009 | Shubert NYC
This show captures the heart and soul of Broadway. Great singing, dancing, music, lighting, and staging. I only have one word for this show, "WOW".
Mar'lu | 12/21/2009 | New York Broadway
Memphis was absolutely wonderful!
My mother, her two friends, one of their daughters, and I saw the show last night and we all fell in love with it. Even right from the opening number I knew it was going to be great. The entire cast had so much energy and authenticity. I bought the soundtrack and I can't stop listening to it!
I'm so glad to have seen the original cast in this sure-to-be-a-hit show. Everyone, go see it!
Danielle | 12/20/2009 | New York City
I saw this show twice. Once with a theatre group and again with my best friend. I loved it both times and would probably see it again. Everything was top notch: the set, the costumes, the dancing, singing, acting and storyline. No flaws. Go see it and then buy the soundtrack.
Rene | 12/19/2009 | New York
I thought that Memphis was one of the best musicals that I have seen in a long time and what wonderful music David Bryan wrote. Now we know that Jon and Richie are not the only ones in Bon Jovi that are talented.
Patti | 12/16/2009 | New York
We all loved it!!
The dancing, music, and singing was great.
I've been raving about it to everyone at work.
Definitely a must see show this year!!
irene edwards | 12/16/2009 | shubert theatre NYC
The show was absolutely amazing. The cast were excellent, the story captivating, the two leads were outstanding. Some of the songs were so emotionally charged we had tears streaming down our cheeks. I really hope this show comes to London, it would be an absolute smash and I just cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone that was involved - it is arguably the best show I have ever seen.
Suki Gallagher | 12/16/2009 | New York
Loved the show.
The cast were fabulous and definately earned the rousing standing ovation they received at the end.
Cannot wait for the CD to become available.
John Marshall | 12/16/2009 | New York
Saw the show last weekend solo after my dear friend told me about it. Now I'm recommending it to everyone! I was worn out when I walked into the theatre and came out completely energized. What an upper! The music, dancing, actors and story line were all over the top. I'm over the moon for Memphis and would see it again when I go back to NY. That's a promise!
Mary | 12/15/2009 | NYC
This show was absolutely AMAZING!!! My girlfriend and I went while in NY this past weekend and had an absolute blast. The cast was phenomenal, so energetic, great voices, great dance moves. The standing ovation was greatly deserved. I am telling everyone how much fun we had and that they should see it for themselves.
Joe Scrivner | 12/10/2009 | Shubert in NYC
I had to find a show to see with 3 friends visiting NYC...always tough to please everyone.

Memphis rocked. Smiles, clapping, a standing ovation and all 3 bought the cast CD.

Great show: guaranteed winner.
Catherine | 12/09/2009 | Shubert NYC
MEMPHIS is an exceptional show. The cast is AWESOME. I loved the music and dancing, and I ranks as one of my top five favorite Broadway shows of all time. I am 57 years old and I have seen many Broadway shows, and MEMPHIS ranks among the best. The lead actors were phenomenal, and I hope MEMPHIS has a long and prosperous run. I saw it because Whoopi Goldberg recommended it on THE VIEW, and she was spot on. Everyone - go see this show. You'll be rocking and rolling!
Bill Strippoli | 12/09/2009 | New York - December 2, 2009
Chad Kimball was sensational! The singing was beyond anything I had ever heard. The storyline was well done and you lived in the moment the entire time of the production. I could n ot have been more entertained..... this is to be shared with as many people as possible.
connie patterson | 12/09/2009 | Schubert theatre

HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO EXPECT. WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT THE STORY LINE, THE MUSIC, THE TALENT OF ALL THE ACTORS. IT WAS A WONDERFUL START TO A 4-DAY GET AWAY FOR MY DAUGHTER & I.
LOVED IT FROM THE OPENING TO CURTAIN BOWS.
MARGARET NAPP | 12/09/2009 | NEW YORK CITY
My best friend saw an article about MEMPHIS and thought it sounded like a good plot, so she offered to take me for my birthday. I am so glad she did!! I'd had a crap day and this just made me forget all about it. Absolutely worth the standing ovation we gave it. From the general cast to the principles it was worth every moment. I came home that night totally jazzed and immediately posted how much I loved the show on Facebook. She and I would (and hopefully will!) definitely see MEMPHIS again. Can't wait until we get our soundtracks!
Christina | 12/07/2009 | New York
TRULY BRILLIANT - A NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN EXPERIENCE! I was fortunate to share the "birth" in N. Shore (Boston) in 2003 & its growth at Palo Alto in 2004 - and now BROADWAY - for a LONG LONG RUN - I HAVE to see it again - it has that effect on you. My twin brother in for a visit from UK & our wives saw it - you MUST! You cannot get enough of this experience; the show will leave you warm & lifted from whatever you usually do. GO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF!! TODAY!!
peter elliott | 12/03/2009 | Shubert NYC - Dec 1
One show-stopping scene and song after another. Great music, dancing and compelling theater. I have never seen a more excited audience and a more appreciative cast, for the rousing standing ovation they received.
Dave Johns | 12/02/2009 | Broadway
The music was fantastic. The singing was just incredible. All the actors did an amazing job. The dancing was great too!
michele | 12/02/2009 | Schubert Theatrer Nov. 25
The only reason this show would not get the Tony is because not enough people will have seen it. Flawless Entertainment
Andy | 12/02/2009 | New York
Great show. Outstanding entertainment, and lots more. More of an operetta than a play. We could not get enough of this wonderful musical.
Homer | 12/01/2009 | New York
The never-ending standing ovation was well deserved. My husband and I completely enjoyed every song, dance, and the deeply moving story of Memphis. I was so filled with emotion during the First Act I couldn't move from my seat the as the lights went on for the intermission. Stands out as one of the best.
Vicky | 12/01/2009 | New York
It was amazing and sooooo moving! What a show! I could see it 100 times and never get bored. The music was so catching and fun.
keri potter | 11/30/2009 | November 25, and 28th
AMAZING is the one word that can describe the awsome show and cast of MEMPHIS. The entire show was great from start to finish i was just so sitting there with my mouth on the floor at what was going on right in front of me GREAT acting WONDERFUL voices and FANTASTIC dancing. I am going to see it again and i suggest everyone should too.
Domonic Barnes | 11/30/2009 | Shubert Theatre New York
Cast does a wonderful job to hold together a really thin plot, and cookie-cutter songs.

If it weren't for some really talented people, this is the MAD-LIBS of Broadway (ie, fill in the blank). Entire sections sound 'borrowed' from other sources. Where there was no 'inspiration' from Whitney Houston and Ray Charles the songs were poorly written, and childish.
DFW Kenny | 11/30/2009 | Shubert, NYC
Fabulous!!! The cast received standing ovation at performance I attended and it was well deserved. The female lead Montego is awesome !!!
debbie | 11/30/2009 | Shubert Theater
My family is full of musical buffs and I grew up going to different Broadway musicals all my life.

I was lucky enough to go see MEMPHIS twice at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle (in January and February of 2009) and it was without a doubt the best musical I have ever seen. Everything about this musical is top notch; the music, the choreography, the sets, the cast, the plot, the screenplay, the message; all of it is absolutely exceptional!

Chad Kimball and Montego Glover's characters are so well established and they both have beautiful chemistry on stage. The entire cast is very memorable and their performances are beyond fantastic! This musical has so much heart.

All I can say is go see MEMPHIS for a guaranteed great time. After the red curtain has closed, all you'll want to do is buy another ticket to go see it again.
Kaitlin | 11/28/2009 | Seattle at the 5th Avenue Theater
I am thankful to the cast and crew of Memphis. Just saw it over the Thanksgiving weekend and not only is it a fantastic musical with an incredibly talented cast, it's also an important musical. Chronicling the birth of rock and roll, the parallel story of integration plays out before our eyes in gut wrenching (and all-too accurate) scenes of love, hate, music, soul and rock and roll! Everyone needs to see this show. Especially, parents, take your middle schoolers and older kids. You will be entertained and enlightened. And your kids will get an important lesson in your history.
Lyssa | 11/28/2009 | New York
FANTASTIC!!! This show is GREAT, EXCITING, and one of this years BEST Broadway Shows. It really does touch your soul and you will leave the show feeling very calm. The cast is excellent. The singing is - WOW - make you want to see it again and again. This is a "must see" Broadway Play.
Cathy Barrow | 11/27/2009 | New York
Took my teenage daughter. We both loved it, each and every performer gave non-stop excellence from start to finish. Best thing I have seen on B'way in years! GO!!!
Ellen | 11/27/2009 | New York
I was lucky enough to see this show last Sunday with my best friend and our husbands. Words really cannot describe what an amazing show this was. The cast was simply unforgettable in their performance, kept everyone in the audience involved from beginning to end. There was not one person sitting at the end, all were on their feet giving the applause and thanks that was must certainly due this show. Kudos to David Bryan for his amazing musical talent and great writing! Keep it up David, we are looking forward to your next one!!
Jackie | 11/26/2009 | New York

Anthony | 11/26/2009 | Broadway
Loved Memphis! Act I knocked my socks off! The signing and dancing was superb. Acting excellent. I wanted to take the male lead home with me. I loved him. The costumes are beautiful and the sets too. I didn't want the show to end. I recommend it to adults only. NO KIDS. And be prepared to be entertained.
M C | 11/25/2009 | New York
Loved it. The show kept us interested, entertained and dancing in our seats. What talent! Don't miss it.

AMAZING! Great music and talent. This will be a huge hit for a long time and hopefully an award winner! Will recommend to anyone. Ordered the soundtrack as we left the theatre...can't wait to get it!
Marge Stehman | 11/24/2009 | NYC
My friend who lives in NY chose this show to see when two other friends and myself met in NY for the Marathon. I am so glad she picked "Memphis". It was simply fantastic! All the performances were excellent and the show moved at a great pace. I would recommend to all my friends. We all loved it!
Rene | 11/22/2009 | Broadway
The show is great: the cast is really outstanding and all of the supporting elements -costumes, set design, music, choreography, rapid pace of the story that keeps the audience engaged, etc.- made it wonderfully memorable. Within the very strong cast, the female lead, Montego Glover, and her supporting entourage stood out; the whole ensemble made the story vibrant, but Glover and supporting male characters (Bobby: James Monroe Iglehart and Gator: Derrick Baskin) were exceptional in bringing the story to life.
At the performance I attended, the audience responded with a hearty standing ovation. This, to me, says it all about the show's effect and its reception. Memphis is moving and enjoyable and is performed by a tremendous cast.
Tiffany | 11/21/2009 | Shubert Theater
BREATHLESS!! I've heard this word used before, but never experienced it at a Broadway show until now! These performers actually leave you breathless and I'm talking EVERY ONE of them. The energy from the entire cast is eledtrifying! I've told everyone I know to get to NYC and see this show. TONYS here they come!!!!!
jean | 11/20/2009 | shuebert theatre NYC
I loved it. As an African American female of a certain age, I totally related to the story line and the music. There were many nuances that kept my friend and I talking for hours after the show. We had a hard time getting past the words, "Absolutely fantastic". I came back to work on Monday and encouraged others to go to NYC and see the play. Can't wait to receive my show album.
Darlene | 11/19/2009 | Broadway
Went to matinee Sunday. I enjoyed the show and the cast received an enthusiastic standing ovation. Female lead is terrific, stage craft, lighting, and sound are Tony-worthy. Choreography and costumes make it a show that one could enjoy without sound. Songs vary in quality, none that I was humming afterward. Male lead was good but I did not like his role too much. Story is a bit simplistic but it moves along nicely and the performers have so much energy that it carries on through the shortcomings. Unless you really need the intellectual challenge of Next to Normal, which is across the street, I would highly recommend the show. It would be a great first show alternative to a Disney show. Would encourage you to see it with current cast, they are clicking.
Bob | 11/18/2009 | Broadway
I attend shows in NY fairly often and when I heard about the show, somehow I knew that this was going to be something worth seeing based upon the storyline alone. However, I was prepared for the surprise I got when I saw the show. I purchased tickets for my husband and two other friends who knew nothing about this show. Everyone was flabbergasted by what they witnessed from beginning to end (and so was the rest of the audience). I have never seen such an enthusiastic crowd from beginning to end. The applause was deafening and did not stop even to allow the cast to speak at the end of the show. With all the screaming and yelling you would have thought that you were at a concert! The storyline kept our interest from beginning to end and the talent was mesmerizing! I am anxious to see just how many TONY nominations this show gets because it is bound to get plenty! Often times in shows you get some strong performers and some weaker ones. However, in this show, there were no weak performers. Everyone was extremely strong and equally talented no matter what role they had in this show. This is one of those shows that can be seen over and over and I, for one, can't wait to return for a second time!!!
Ruth | 11/18/2009 | New York
My wife and I loved the show. I took her for her birthday. She really enjoyed it !!!!

Incredible cast, thoroughly enjoyed the show. I am so glad we got to see this, tickets are going to be hard to get when everyone catches on to this assembly of talent. Fantastic singing talent, the dancers were great, it just got better and better. Thumbs up on this one, it's a must see!

I took my mom for her 63rd birthday and we both loved it! from the first 10 minutes of the show I knew I made the right choice. It was soulful, upbeat and had great songs and dances performed by very talented performers. I have been recommending it to all my friends.

helen sarrett | 11/11/2009 | November 2/New york
Blown away! This is what Broadway is all about. What a great show. We were dancing and singing along with the great cast. Such talent.
Karen | 11/11/2009 | NYC
I saw the show with my sister. We both loved it! It was exuberant, with great voices and terrific stage energy. The one problem I had is with the show's serious topic which I thought got too lighthearted treatment, except for the gang beat up scene. Aside from that, the voices were outstanding and the actors generated real empathy. A must see!
eve | 11/11/2009 | Tuesday, Nov.3
I can't say enough about the show. If I had to describe in one word, I would say AMAZING!!! I went with my sisters on Sat. and we all agreed that this was one of the best shows that we have seen. All are great, but this one definitely stands out. From the very first moment of the show until the very end I was in awe of the singing and dancing. Best of luck to all in the show, I am sure that you are in for a good long run.
Kathy | 11/11/2009 | New York
I took my husband with me to the Sunday show and absolutely loved it. Everyone's voice was a pleasure to hear - great range and sound . the songs were a wonderful medley of the early '50's rock & roll, as well as gospel. a very high energy level and the dancing so-o-o talented. The changes of scenery and the way it was done ( pops up from below the stage) were a great idea. The pace of the action was well done, no slow points at all. The story line is told very plainly - segregation, prejudice, etc. - but this time I did not feel preached to. Pathos wasn't the sole topic and as a result it was entertaining and delightful to be there. Thank you for an afternoon of talent.
Dorothy | 11/11/2009 | Schubert theater
I saw the show with a friend and her teenage daughter, and we all loved it. From the moment the show started, we were enthralled by the sheer energy of the performers, their powerful and emotional voices, the opportunity to hear gospel, R&B and rock & roll during one show, and the presentation of a different time in our nation's history. I plan to go again with my husband since I am sure he will also love the show.
Karen McEnroe | 11/11/2009 | New York
Four of us saw the show -two adults and two teenagers-on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2pm. We come to Broadway seven or eight time each year and we concluded that Memphis is the bomb !!! We were not expecting it to be that good, my goodness !!
Talented performers, exciting staging and great voices !!! A MUST SEE !!!!!

I was blown away . Didn't want it to end.
Can't wait to see it again & again.
The cast was incredibly talented & perfectly siuted for their roles. Loved the nostalgia of the costumes & sets. The music was great & the talents & gifts of the performers did it justice. For everyone who is a rock & roll, R & B lover, this is your show!
Joni Suppin | 11/09/2009 | NYC
My mother, husband and our two adult children saw the play on Broadway. All three generations loved it. The high energy never stops. The voices are glorious and the dancing was the best I've seen in years. Would return just to see the brilliant Danny Tidwell leap and spin again.
Carolyn | 11/09/2009 | Broadway
Mr. Bryan, my dad and I really dug your play, the music was fantastic. Hope to see you soon
Jared Bonanno | 11/07/2009 | New York
Enjoyed music and set though had some tech problems Halloween night. The Characters were believable and full filled their goals. For me as a costumer, there were several period costume questions. Also my entire group found 2 songs in second act worth saving then scrap 2nd act since it did not move the story along.
Enjoyed the evening very much.
Kaye | 11/05/2009 | New York
Our cousins indicated that it was a great show, and that we should see it.
We did see it, and it was wonderful!
The female lead has an amazing voice, and I bet that several Tony's will be awarded to this show.
Go see it before it starts to fully sell out.

Fantastic! Did not want it to end. Can't wait to go see it again.
Kathy | 11/04/2009 | Shubert
Saw the show last week and was blown away. I used a walker to go as I just had a full hip replacement. Usheretter was most hospitable and it was worth the effort to go. My concern is that this show will go away like many others because there are no stars save David Bryan who is not on stage. Money is tight these days and people want names. Even Jude Law next door is not selling out the house. Trades indicate that Memphis is not selling out. Curiously a certain superstar was standing in line before me. Perhaps taking a look to make a bid.

It was fabulous. One of my favorites. My entire family loved it. It is the top two I have seen and i have seen almost all of the musicals on broadway over the last 8 years. Ms. Glover is wonderful. The rest of the cast is as well.

Sheila Snow | 10/29/2009 | New York City
I have never had more fun at a musical. I saw West Side Story the day before and Memphis made it seem boring and amateurish. Incredible acting, singing, and dance. The leads were phenomenal, don't be surprised when it wins many Tonys...it deserves it. My advice, GO SEE IT
David M. | 10/29/2009 | New York City
The "middle of the dial" is the best place to be in Memphis and the Shubert Theater is the best place to be on Broadway right now! It made us laugh, cry, dance and sing. We could not have asked for anything more!!!!!!! A must see. This talent deserves to be recognized at the Tony Awards!!
Donna & Joe | 10/29/2009 | Shubert Theater NYC
I saw Memphis last night and I just had to send my review to say how unbelievably amazing this show was. I could hardly sit still in my seat because I just wanted to dance and move the whole way through (usually I laugh at people like that!). The dancing and music were perfection. I laughed, I tapped my feet...just a real feel good show where it's obvious so much thought and talent went into it. Congrats to the entire cast for putting on such a phenomenally entertaining performance...I'm sure I'll be seeing you at the next Tony Awards! Great job!!!!!
Erin | 10/29/2009 | Broadway, NYC

Great dancing and an absorbing plot to boot. Its all good! This show is a lock for many Tony's this year. Can't wait to get my copy of the soundtrack later this year.

I've been seeing shows on Broadway since I was 19 years old... I am now 61, so I've seen many shows! I LOVED Memphis. The acting was superb and the music was unbelieveable. This was if not THE best, certainly one of the best shows I've ever seen. The story moves you and tugs at your heart. I can't wait to see it again.

I've seen the show twice and would like to see it again. It is FUN, engaging, and brilliant! I love the songs, I love the characters. The acting is phenomenal - especially Chad Kimball. Joe DiPietro's writing is so clever. Montego Glover is a goddess! The dancers are so solid and the choreography is tight. There is NO weakness in this show. Can't wait to get the CD. This show is a winner!
Bonnie | 10/27/2009 | Shubert Theatre, NYC

Wow! I have never gone into to see a show where I knew nothing about it or didn't know the music, so I must admit I was skeptical at first. After the first measure of music, I was blown away and hooked till the left the theater. Memphis is absolutley brilliant, everything from the set, lighting, music, story, dancing to the voices is just superb! This will most definitely be the Broadway smash hit of 2009-2010 and many years to come! Also the Tony..... MEMPHIS LIVES IN ME!
Connor Deane | 10/19/2009 | Shubert Theater-NYC
This show is all heart, talent and a good time. It is literally the best show on Broadway and destined for a long run!
Here's to the cast of Memphis... Hockadoo!
CDM | 10/19/2009 | Shubert Theater
MEMPHIS which opens tonight as I write this, is a big barnburner of a musical. If MEMPHIS does not pull you out of your seat, they need to pull the plug and haul your a-- to the cemetary. Those looking for a renewable source of energy need to hook up the power grid to the Shubert Theatre. With rogues, rascals, and the righteous, MEMPHIS indelibly captures a sorry, shameful time in our history, the echoes of which can still be heard. I saw MEMPHIS the 1st week of previews and went back a couple of days later with friends. If an audience leaping to it's feet and roaring approval is any indication of success, then MEMPHIS needs to put on it's comfortable shoes and settle in for a nice, long run. Chad Kimball, Montego Glover (pure human dynamite the both of them), and the entire cast and creative team, need to clear a place at the table for TONY. MEMPHIS has apparently been a labor of love for years and it shows. When it comes to pure, raw talent, MEMPHIS is an embarrassment of riches.
Bob Hughart | 10/19/2009 | Sam S. Shubert Theatre, New York

The show was great, loved everything about it! I think it had a very good story line and beeing serious as well as beeing funny and it's not always that works, but Memphis really did.
I was so glad I was able to catch it while I was in the States.

Great show! Great music and dancing. Great cast. The kind of show Broadway has always been famous for and so desperately needs. It should have a very long run on Broadway.
V | 10/14/2009 | Shubert Theater
I saw this show while it was in previews and was floored by the choreography and commitment from the cast. I was exhausted just watching- and the lighting was exceptional! This is the front runner for the Tony-I am not kidding-get tickets while you can! I am bringing my student group back to see it in March! Wonderful!!!
Diana | 10/14/2009 | Shubert Theatre NYC
I found the show to be very moving and real. Being of mixed heritage and knowing the couple that started it all this show also hit a special note for me. It also addresses conflicts that are growing in greater size and numbers today. Where two that are in love are tested by the advances made by modernization where one wants to keep it simple and the other wants to see the world. This is where love steps in and forces all of us to decide what is truly important in our lives. Gripping for that reason and the musical score and dance was ourstanding. I only regretted that it was only a play with and ending.
Marc R. Gittens Sr. | 10/14/2009 | In Manhattan off Broadway
The voices and music in this show are outstanding. Having grown up in this era, I can tell you that the plot was spot on. It is another view of Hairspray which I loved, but this view is the dark, real side of that time in history. The energy is contagious, and it was very hard to stay seated.
However, (necessarily there must be a 'however'), the people seated behind me agreed strongly that we all missed almost every word of the first act. We had excellent seats by the way. I loved the man who played Montego's brother. He has a gorgeous, strong voice, but his diction needs serious training. Every word of a song should be understood by the audience. Unfortunately, his words were badly slurred. Everyone seems to be raving about the choreography. It was energetic and beautifully executed, but certainly not on the same level as West Side Story, Best Little Whorehouse, Dreamgirls, etc. And there's no question that the professionals in this show are capable of anything. They are that talented, so I have to lay this at the feet of the choreographer.
I agree with the person who says the Elvis part was weak to lame. Still I would recommend seeing this show. It's vibrant, exciting, and its stars are over the top with their talent. I ordered the CD. There can't be better musical energy to get you up and going.
Marilyn | 10/14/2009 | New York
The show was still in previews when we saw it last weekend. I would not change a thing.Amazing cast, music, costumes. One of the few musicals I would see again. I highly recommend it.

Saw this show 4 times in the course of my week long trip to NYC... I loved it so much! Chad Kimball is simply AMAZING - he has a gorgeous voice, but what really astounds me is his INCREDIBLE acting - such talent! And Montego Glover is the epitome of beauty and elegance - she's absolutely stunning on stage and has the most gorgeous voice! The ENTIRE cast absolutely blew me away with their talent and I can't wait to go back to NYC to see it a 5th, 6th, and 7th time.

My husband and I saw the show last night with no expectations. From the opening scene you could feel the powerful feedback from the audience. Like everyone around us we had a fantastical time. The choreography was amazing and the music was really catchy. But the thing that makes the the whole package worthwhile, the thing that will bring us back to see the show, was the story. It took us on an emotional journey that will be hard to forget. We'll be back in NY next year and we'll definitely come back to see the Memphis! Thank you!

My husband and I loved this show. The singing blew us away. It seemed that everyone in the theater loved it. They were calling people during intermission telling them to get tickets while they still could. Having lived during the time frame of the play, I can tell you the story line was right on the mark. I'm not a novice to Broadway plays and have seen plenty of them. This is by far, the absolute BEST musical I have seen so far! The energy is phenomenal! The singing and dancing is unlike anything I've seen recently! I cannot rave enough about this production...even the orchestra is tight...and they played until half of the patrons left the theater..AMAZING! The stage sets were so creative, you couldn't help but fall in love with everything about this show! I absolutely plan to see this again...not ANY play that I can say that about! PS: My seats were fantastic! Will be telling everyone I know about this show..DO NOT MISS IT!!

I've been going to the theater for many, many years and this is one of the best shows I've seen, from start ti finish! If there are no Tony's awarded to this show when the time comes, somethings wrong. All the performances were great! The cast, the costumes and the music were just spectacular! Go see it now!!!!!

What a terrific story and cast of characters that seemed to hit the essence of the times and the need to move on.
This is a show that needs to be seen by all who love music, relationship realities and rich talent.
Mark Germain | 10/07/2009 | NYC
Saw this show the first night of previews. Where have they been hiding all of these singers, specifically Montego Glover? What fabulous voices!! The singing and dancing kept me bouncing in my seat. I heartily recommend this show.
Mary Ann | 10/06/2009 | Shubert Theater, NYC
I was completely blown away by this show. It sounded interesting, so I decided to get tickets. Sitting 2nd row center was exhilarating. The cast was simply brilliant, they all have tremendous amounts of talent. The story was beautiful, the music was SO catchy and the dancing just blew my mind. I highly recommend this show to anyone who wants to have a good time, and see a moving piece of theater. Come May/June this show will be racking up the Tony nominations faster than you can say "Memphis!" Memphis lives in me :)

Hockadoo..."Memphis" is a fantastical fresh new Broadway musical that entices you from the start! A musical that shines it light brightly on Chad Kimball who plays "Huey," Montego Glover who plays "Felicia," Cass Morgan who plays "Mamma," & Derrick Baskin who plays "Gator." David Bryan (keyboardist & founding member of Bon Jovi) wrote the lyrics and music to some stand-out songs: "The Music of My Soul," "Colored Woman," "Someday," "Say a Prayer," "Love Will Stand When All Else Falls," "Change Don't Come Easy," "Memphis Lives in Me," & "Steal Your Rock 'n' Roll." If you're looking for a fresh new musical, this is the one to see, so get out your dancing shoes, find your soul, and get to the Shubert Theatre on 44th Street in NYC and go see "Memphis!"

Saw this show last Sat. Sept. 26. My friend and I had been unsuccessfully trying to get evening show tickets everywhere that night and ended up seeing Memphis by default with rush tickets. By far the best 26.50 I have ever spent in NYC! The dancing was phenomenal, the sets were unbelievable, and above all the music and the people who sang it were breath taking and chill raising! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THIS SHOW! I would suggest it to anyone, best of luck, I having a feeling that "someday" soon these tickets won't be easy to get. xo :D

What a show! Superb acting from a superb cast.Every actor was at the top of their game and should be proud of the product they are producing! Everything was great from the choreography to the costumes. Why David Bryan never did musicals before is beyond me but after this and Toxie I am SO glad he is here! I am already planning a return trip!

Get your tickets quick! MEMPHIS the Musical is the hottest show in town. We saw it last Saturday night and it was truly a special night for us at the theatre. We will be back to see it again at the end of this month. The cast, ensemble, orchestra, and crew are outstanding. Outstanding may be an understatement, let's go with exceptional. Thank you Joe Dipietro for a great story and David Bryan for the terrific music. Love, peace, and happiness (and a long run on Broadway) to everyone at Memphis.

OK - it was a ton of fun. You want to sing, you want to dance, you have to remind yourself that only performers are allowed to do those things in the theatre, and you have to force yourself to sit in your seat and be good. But it goes way beyond fun. This musical has many levels...you can just enjoy it, or you can really think about it. My husband and I were still talking about it this morning. My friends were talking about it at work. I keep remembering and pondering bits of it every time I glance at the Playbill. Go see it now, before the whole world realizes how good this is, and you have to wait months to get tickets!
Mary Ann O'Rourke | 09/28/2009 | Sam S. Shubert Theatre - Broadway
This was the greatest show ever - "Huck -a-doo. If this show does not get 10 nominations and take all 10, I will never see another show in NY. The music, dancing and singing is just fantastical. We saw the show 09/26 and will be going back again for another show. Good luck cast and put your shelf up for your awards!

All the Way to Memphis.... I wondered if the birth of rock and roll and the demise of racial tension was even possible to capture in a musical. Those ideas were presented with tact and the abbreviation necessary for the entertaining love story of a boy and his music to take center stage. Chad Kimbil plays a white boy with a gift for promotion and an ear for music, Race music. Chad embodies Calhoon's infatuation with all things from the wrong side of town with humor and charm. He inveigles his way into the underground boogie-woogie scene. Oblivious to resentment from both sides he sheperds the blacks only music scene from Beale street to main street. He also falls for the well played ingenue soul singer by Montego Glover. This ill fated love is trouble, in the expected black girl white boy way . The twist and possible reason he doesn't see it coming may be because of his unhealthy interest in bourbon. The production values, dance, lighting and music are all first rate. The book and lyrics are aptly period yet new to my ear. The underlying story unresolved. But then again....that's rock and roll.

I was pleasantly surprised by this "little" musical. I took a friend who had never been to the theatre before and she was absolutely in love. If it ever comes back to Seattle, I will go again. Best wishes in NY!

I was blown away by this show. I just saw it last night, the 2nd night of previews.

I loved the singing, dancing, acting, set design, costumes. Everything.

This show is "fantastical". I will see it again.
Marilyn | 09/25/2009 | New York
A must see show when you visit NY. I can't help but return for a 2nd night. Chills, laughter, smiles, dance and music abound. A show I will see over and over again if I lived in the city. Its something you could never get tired of watching and listening to. You will not be disappointed -- and you will repeat to yourself such words as "Wow" "Amazing" "Beautiful".
Jamie Lynn Miller | 09/24/2009 | New York
David Bryan (founder of the Best Band in the world; Bon-Jovi) wrote the musical scores for this Feel Good musical! He is what brought me to the theater last night....and I AM SO GLAD I was part of this!!! I will be getting tickets for Oct 19!! I sat 4th row and felt like I was friends of Huey. I wanted him to succeed! I felt thier pain. I danced in my seat and clapped to the beat (GO DAVID!) and left with a huge smile!!!!!!! I will be going back and taking my friends!!!!! My husband joined me who usuallly couldnt care less. HE LAUGHED THE WHOLE TIME!!!! And had no problem giving a standing ovation!! This means more than anything....he is so not excited about musicals!!!! I love Huey, Felicia and all thier friends!!! I will be keeping a close eye on the Tony's!!!!

To whom it may concern, and to whomever may read this... I have been fortunate enough to see "Memphis" 5 times now...all at the regional level. I am scheduled to fly in and come to the opening on Oct 19 2009 in NYC... I cant' wait! (And I mean that quite literally!) Every time I have seen the show, I have laughed, I have cried, I was singing along to the songs, and dancing in my seat! I have been transported 5 times to a place where history happened... Memphis! Chad Kimball, Montego Glover, James Monroe Ingelheart, Kevin Covert...just to name a few... are about to launch into Broadway stardom! This show WILL take NYC in away that no other show has for many years... I predict that like Phantom of the Opera, it will end up being one of the longest running shows in Broadway history! To say that it is a must see... doesnt really sum it up! Run dont walk, do what it takes...get tickets and start the journey. Let go for an evening, immerse yourself in history, the music, the humor, the sheer raw talent!!!
In case you havent figured it out... I love this show!!!

I have been working in Theatre for over 35 years and this is one of the best musicals I've ever worked or seen! The cast is wonderful, the music is wonderful, I laughed till my tummy hurt, and I loved the story> And guess what? It's original! I haven't felt this since Hairspray left this stage.
Lee A. DeLorme | 09/18/2009 | Seattle
I live in NYC - and my Aunt (who lives in Seattle) called me up one night and said "you have to come out to see Memphis"! The next weekend I was on a plane and spent several nights going to The 5th Avenue Theater to see the show - it was incredible. Definitely worth flying across the country for. So if you live in (or around) NYC you have no excuse not to CHECK IT OUT!

It was wonderful! I saw the show the first night of previews with a friend and she was completely blown away.

By the end of the show, we were singing along with the cast.. and all the way back to our car we were singing.

Granted I have been a huge fan of David Bryan since 1983, and heard his version on Memphis Lives in Me on the Bon Jovi Boxed Set. Love Love Love that song. But I had no idea the depth of his talent in writing music.

Growing up in a family who loves musical theatre and a sister who is an actress and singer in the SF Bay Area Theatre Circuit I have seen a lot of shows. By far this show is in my top 3!

Chad and Montego are fantastic. James Ingleheart steals the show.

It was so good, I had to bring the family for a matinee! Even my non -theatre loving husband loved the show.
Karen Whooley | 09/18/2009 | 5th Ave Theatre, Seattle
I confess that what generally happens when I'm in a setting like that where the house lights go down, so do my eyelids. But, not last night! What a fabulous, energetic, creative show! I's so excited to know that this show is opening on Broadway and I am confident that it will be a delight to fans and critics alike immediately upon opening and for years to come.

Thank you again for including me in this production. From the preview that I was able to see to the performance last night, Memphis is a good time from start to finish!

Look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,

AMAZING!!! I am a avid theatre go-er. Especially musical theatre and I am so fortunate that I got to see MEMPHIS before it went to Broadway. It is one of the best shows I have ever seen! The Music is phenomenal and the story moves your soul. Chad Kimball better win the Tony for Best Male Lead because his acting was inspiring. I will be extremely surprised if this show doesn't win Best Musical! I absolutely LOVED it!
Amanda Louise | 09/15/2009 | Seattle
Someone told me Memphis had great singers so I took a chance and saw it Friday of closing weekend. I loved it so much I came back Saturday (which was sold out) and waited in line hoping someone would cancel. No one did but someone ended up having an extra ticket and gave it to me at the last minute. It was worth every minute of the wait.
Lisa | 09/14/2009 | Seattle
Great show, and gets better with each viewing! It's got a lot of heart and a lot of soul, and it'll have you humming for days afterward. This is going to be a hit.
